Clients
Your Client List, Fees and Hours at a Glance
The Clients page is your practice's client database. Summary chips show Total Fee, Total Hours, Spent Hours and Available Hours, and status tabs split clients into Active, Archive, Frozen and Draft.
Built for UK accountants, bookkeepers and growing accountancy practices.
How it works
The client list is where most practice managers start their day, so it shows the figures that matter. Across the top, Total Fee, Total Hours, Spent Hours and Available Hours show how much client work is budgeted, how much has been used and how much capacity is left. That turns the client database into a simple capacity planning and fee review tool. Status tabs split the practice into Active, Archive, Frozen and Draft. Draft is especially useful: it lists clients whose onboarding has started but is not finished, so nobody goes live without services, AML or internal information. Each row shows the client type, such as Private Limited Company or Self-Employed, together with the email and the assignees responsible. Three quick icons beside the name open the client's document folder, invoice summary and HMRC agent authorisation without leaving the list. Scroll across and you'll find the HMRC Authorisation column, the partner responsible and invoice totals with the number of invoices raised. For a UK practice managing Self Assessment, corporation tax and VAT work for hundreds of clients, this means you can check ownership, authorisation and billing at a glance.
Every client in one table
Each row shows the client name with quick icons for the document folder, invoices and agent authorisation, a "New" badge with the date added, client type, email and assignees. Draft clients are those whose onboarding is not finished yet.
What you can see
View this screenshot’s checklistPartners, HMRC authorisation and invoices in the list
Scroll across to see the HMRC Authorisation status, the partner responsible and invoice totals with the number of invoices for each client.
What you can see
- Name column stays frozen on the left while the table scrolls across.
- HMRC Authorisation column shows each client's agent authorisation status.
- Partners column with the responsible partner's avatar and a + to assign one.
- Invoices column shows the invoiced total (e.g. £720) and the number of invoices (e.g. 1 invoice).
- Service date columns such as CIS For the Period Ended continue to the right.
Why it matters: Partner responsibility, HMRC access and billing sit side by side, so you can spot gaps before a deadline.

Why a single client record matters
When client details, deadlines, documents and conversations are spread across inboxes and spreadsheets, time goes on searching instead of on client work.
One version of the truth
Everyone sees the same services, contacts, deadlines and notes for each client.
Accurate deadlines
Companies House sync brings in company details and filing dates, reducing manual errors.
Better client service
A full timeline means anyone can answer a client question with the history in front of them.
Secure document sharing
A client portal is safer than sending financial documents as email attachments.
Practical tips from UK practice
- Import companies from Companies House rather than typing details by hand.
- Record every service a client takes, so recurring work is created automatically.
- Add a short note after every important client call.
- Ask clients to upload documents through the portal rather than by email.
