Companies House deadline checker

Enter a client's year end and get the usual accounts, Corporation Tax and confirmation statement dates, plus a sensible internal deadline. Useful for onboarding a new limited company client quickly.

Client details

Nothing is sent anywhere — the dates are worked out in your browser.

Key dates

Enter a year end to see the deadlines.

Stop working these out by hand. Remindoo pulls company details and filing dates from Companies House onto the client record and sets the recurring tasks and reminders for every client automatically.

This is a planning aid, not an official source. Always confirm the filing dates shown on the company's Companies House record, particularly where a period has been shortened or extended. Search Companies House ↗

Companies House deadline questions

When are company accounts due at Companies House?

For an existing private company, accounts are normally due nine months after the accounting reference date. For a first set of accounts covering more than 12 months, they are due 21 months after the date of incorporation.

When is the confirmation statement due?

A confirmation statement must be filed at least once every 12 months, within 14 days of the end of the review period. The review period normally starts the day after the previous statement date.

When is Corporation Tax due?

For companies outside the quarterly instalment regime, Corporation Tax is normally due nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period, while the CT600 return is due 12 months after the period end.

Is this checker official?

No. It calculates the usual statutory dates from the year end you enter, as a planning aid. Always confirm the filing dates shown on the company's own Companies House record, especially after a period has been shortened or extended.

Does Remindoo do this automatically?

Yes. Remindoo pulls company details and filing dates from Companies House onto the client record and creates the recurring tasks and reminders, so you are not calculating dates by hand for every client.

What if the year end has been changed?

Shortening or extending an accounting period changes the filing deadline, and extensions are limited. Where a period has been changed, use the date shown on the Companies House record rather than a calculation.

Built for UK practice growth

Every deadline. Every client. One system.

Start with the workflows that cause the most chasing, then bring leads, AML, proposals and clients into the same calm operating system.

Why a single client record matters

When client details, deadlines, documents and conversations are spread across inboxes and spreadsheets, time goes on searching instead of on client work.

One version of the truth

Everyone sees the same services, contacts, deadlines and notes for each client.

Accurate deadlines

Companies House sync brings in company details and filing dates, reducing manual errors.

Better client service

A full timeline means anyone can answer a client question with the history in front of them.

Secure document sharing

A client portal is safer than sending financial documents as email attachments.

Practical tips from UK practice

  • Import companies from Companies House rather than typing details by hand.
  • Record every service a client takes, so recurring work is created automatically.
  • Add a short note after every important client call.
  • Ask clients to upload documents through the portal rather than by email.
