What ARD means
A company's first accounting reference date is the last day of the month containing its first anniversary of incorporation. After that it recurs annually unless shortened or extended.
Private company accounts are normally due nine months after the ARD; a first accounting period running over 12 months is instead due 21 months after incorporation.
