Remindoo uses GoCardless to collect fees by Direct Debit.

What you can do with GoCardless

  • Set up Direct Debit for monthly fees
  • Reduce late payment
  • Keep cash flow predictable

How the GoCardless connection works

What happens between Remindoo and GoCardless once the connection is switched on.

01

Set up the mandate

Connect GoCardless and clients can authorise a Direct Debit, so recurring fees are collected rather than chased.

02

Bacs, SEPA and Instant Bank Pay

GoCardless supports Bacs Direct Debit, SEPA and Instant Bank Pay, which suits UK monthly fee arrangements.

03

Collection status on the record

Collected, pending and failed collections are visible on the invoice and client record.

What this changes in your practice

  • Monthly fees collected on time without chasing
  • More predictable cash flow across the client base
  • Fewer awkward conversations about late payment
  • Suits fixed-fee and subscription pricing

Connecting GoCardless

Setting the connection up takes a few minutes and can be undone at any time.

  1. Open Integrations in your practice settings and choose GoCardless.
  2. Sign in to your GoCardless account and approve access.
  3. Invite clients to authorise a Direct Debit mandate.
  4. Set the collection date on each recurring fee.

GoCardless integration questions

Is a Direct Debit mandate needed?

Yes. Each client authorises the mandate before any collection is taken.

What happens if a collection fails?

The failed collection is visible on the invoice so the team can follow it up.

Do I need a separate GoCardless subscription?

Yes. Remindoo connects to your own GoCardless account, so you keep your existing GoCardless plan and billing.

Can I switch the connection off later?

Yes. A connection can be disconnected in your practice settings at any time, and the records already in Remindoo stay where they are.

Built for UK practice growth

Every deadline. Every client. One system.

Start with the workflows that cause the most chasing, then bring leads, AML, proposals and clients into the same calm operating system.

Why recording every task matters in an accountancy practice

Accounting firms run on deadlines: VAT returns, payroll, confirmation statements, accounts and Self Assessment. Recording every job as a task, with an owner and a date, is the simplest way to make sure nothing is missed.

Avoid penalties

HMRC and Companies House charge penalties for late filing. A task for every deadline, with an internal date before it, gives the team a buffer.

Nothing depends on memory

Recorded tasks mean work continues when someone is off sick, on leave or has left the firm.

Consistent quality

Subtask checklists make every job follow the same steps and reviews, whoever does the work.

Visibility for managers

Filters by owner, status and deadline show at a glance what is late, what is due and who needs help.

Practical tips from UK practice

  • Set an internal deadline two to four weeks before every statutory deadline.
  • Use recurring tasks for repeat work such as VAT, payroll and bookkeeping.
  • Break larger jobs into subtasks, including a review step.
  • Comment on the task instead of by email, so the history stays with the work.
