Client Onboarding Software for Accountants
Onboard new clients in minutes. Import company details and officers from Companies House, add contacts, services and AML checks in one guided flow.
Take on a new client in one guided flow — company data from Companies House, contacts, services and AML in the same place.
Client onboarding in Remindoo is a guided Client Creation wizard for accountancy and bookkeeping practices. It imports a company's details and officers from Companies House, captures contacts, client type, services and the AML risk assessment, and creates a complete client record in one pass.

The problem
Retyping company data
Someone copies the company number, registered office and year end out of Companies House by hand. One transposed digit follows the client around for years.
Onboarding spread across tools
Part of it is in an email thread, part in a spreadsheet, part on a paper form in a drawer. Nobody can say whether a step was missed.
No record of who or how
Six months later nobody remembers who the main contact is, or which referral brought the client in, so the firm cannot tell what is working.

Why it matters for UK accountancy practices
Under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, a UK practice has to carry out customer due diligence before it acts for a new client. That makes onboarding a compliance step as much as an admin one: what you collected, when, and what you concluded all need to be recorded rather than remembered.
Companies House remains the source of truth for a limited company's registered details, officers and key dates, so importing from it removes an entire category of copying errors. Identity verification for directors and people with significant control was introduced from 18 November 2025 and now forms part of the wider picture UK firms work in, alongside their own client due diligence.
A single guided route through onboarding also protects the practice when the work is shared. Whoever takes the call — a partner, a manager or an administrator — collects the same information in the same order, and the client record that results is complete enough for the next person to act on.

Frequently asked questions
Open the Clients list, click New Client and work through the Client Creation wizard. Search Companies House for the company so its details are imported, choose which officers to bring in as contacts, set a primary contact, add the services you will provide and complete the AML risk assessment. The client then appears in your Clients list.
Yes. In the wizard you search Companies House for the client's company and select the matching result. The registered company details are filled in automatically, and you can then choose which directors and officers to import as contacts rather than typing them in yourself.
Yes. Remindoo supports limited companies, self-employed individuals and other entity types. For individuals and non-company entities you choose the client type and classification in the wizard instead of importing from Companies House, then continue through contacts, services and the AML risk assessment as normal.
Typically the legal entity details, the key contacts and who is the main one, the services you are engaged to provide with their dates, and client due diligence including a risk assessment and identity verification. Remindoo's wizard walks through each of these, plus internal information and the previous accountant's details where relevant.
That depends on your own due diligence, but importing the company and its officers from Companies House removes most of the typing. Practices generally complete the record in one sitting, then continue the AML verification separately while the client responds.
Yes. The wizard records how the client found your firm, such as a referral channel. Because it is captured at onboarding rather than reconstructed later, you can see which sources are actually bringing work into the practice.
