Proposals
Your Proposal Pipeline as a Kanban Board
Switch from the table to Show Kanban View and your proposals become cards in status columns. You see at a glance how much fee income is waiting for a signature.
Built for UK accountants, bookkeepers and growing accountancy practices.
How it works
A list tells you what exists. A pipeline tells you what it is worth. Click Show Kanban View on the Proposals page and each status (Draft, Declined, Archived, Sent and Signed) becomes a column of cards. Every column header shows the number of proposals and their combined value. In the sample, Draft holds 21 proposals worth £19,232, Sent holds 37 worth £32,039 and Signed holds 33 worth £57,378. For a partner, that is fee income waiting for a signature, read straight off the screen without exporting to a spreadsheet. It also shows where effort is needed. A heavy Draft column means quotes are not going out, and a heavy Sent column means follow-up is due. Each card shows the proposal name, value, status badge and lead. Empty columns read "Drop proposals here", which makes clear where a card can move. Customise card lets each team choose extra details. Proposal Name, Status, Lead Name and Pricing are always shown, and Created By, Sent By, Creation Date and Sent Date are optional. A proposal pipeline Kanban for accountants turns fee forecasting from guesswork into a quick weekly check.
Draft to signed, column by column
Each column shows the proposals in that status with the number of proposals and their combined value. Cards show the proposal name, value, status and lead. Drop zones make it clear where a card can move.

Why tracking leads and proposals matters
Every enquiry a practice fails to follow up is lost fee income. A clear pipeline shows which prospects need a reply, a proposal or a follow-up.
Faster replies
Prospects often contact more than one firm, so the firm that replies first and clearly has an advantage.
Consistent proposals
Templates and a services catalogue keep scope and pricing consistent whoever writes the proposal.
Signed terms from day one
E-signed engagement letters confirm scope and responsibilities before work begins.
No re-keying
Converting a won lead into a client keeps the details you already collected.
Practical tips from UK practice
- Reply to every new enquiry within one working day.
- Use lead statuses that match your real sales stages, and review them weekly.
- Send the engagement letter with the proposal so the client signs once.
- Record why lost leads were lost, to improve pricing and messaging.
