Edit/Delete Task

Within the Smart Task Card, users have access to two key controls:

  • Edit Task
  • Delete Task

These options allow accounting firms to maintain accuracy, flexibility, and control over active work.

Edit Task

The Edit Task option opens the task’s main detail panel, where core information is displayed and selected fields can be updated. This ensures tasks remain accurate as work progresses, deadlines shift, or priorities change.

Task Details Overview

Inside the Edit section, you can view:

Assignees
  • Profile icons of assigned team members
  • Clear visibility of task ownership

(Assignment visibility is fixed here to preserve accountability.)

  • Displays the official task title
  • Acts as the primary identifier for the job

Indicates the current stage of the task, such as:

  • Not Started
  • In Progress
  • Completed
  • Archived
  • Awaiting Feedback 

Editable: Yes

This allows teams to update progress stages as work evolves.

Shows measurable progress (e.g., percentage completion). This provides a structured view of how much work has been completed relative to the total task.

Defines urgency level:

  • High
  • Medium
  • Low

Useful when compliance deadlines change or urgent client requests arise.

Deadlines (Internal & External)

Two structured deadline types are visible:

  • Internal Deadline (team-facing target)
  • External Deadline (client/compliance submission date)
