Leads
Convert a Lead into a Client
When the prospect says yes, click Convert to Client on the lead profile.
Built for UK accountants, bookkeepers and growing accountancy practices.
How it works
Winning the work should not mean re-typing everything into a client database. In Remindoo, when the prospect says yes, you click Convert to Client on the lead profile. The lead becomes a client, and a Lead Converted entry is written to the timeline. It shows the lead name, the new Client ID and a Lead → Client marker, along with who did it and when. That link between the original enquiry and the client record is useful in three ways. You can trace every client back to where it came from and who handled it. You can see how long conversion took from the first New Lead status. And the notes, tasks and emails gathered during the sales stage stay on record when onboarding starts. Converted to Client is also a status tab on the Leads list, so you can count won leads at any time, and conversion rate can be reviewed on the Leads dashboard. This is where lead management software for accountants pays for itself: fewer lost enquiries, a quicker handover to onboarding and a clean record from first contact to engagement.
One click from lead to client
Converting a lead creates the client and records the conversion on the lead's timeline, including the new client ID, so you can trace every client back to the original enquiry.
What you can see
- Lead Converted: "Harbourline Bakery Ltd was converted to a client."
- Lead Name and Client ID (35565).
- Lead → Client marker.
- Time stamp 9 Oct 2026, 10:35 am, with Add notes, All and Latest First controls.
Why it matters: Every client links back to the original enquiry.

Why tracking leads and proposals matters
Every enquiry a practice fails to follow up is lost fee income. A clear pipeline shows which prospects need a reply, a proposal or a follow-up.
Faster replies
Prospects often contact more than one firm, so the firm that replies first and clearly has an advantage.
Consistent proposals
Templates and a services catalogue keep scope and pricing consistent whoever writes the proposal.
Signed terms from day one
E-signed engagement letters confirm scope and responsibilities before work begins.
No re-keying
Converting a won lead into a client keeps the details you already collected.
Practical tips from UK practice
- Reply to every new enquiry within one working day.
- Use lead statuses that match your real sales stages, and review them weekly.
- Send the engagement letter with the proposal so the client signs once.
- Record why lost leads were lost, to improve pricing and messaging.
