Why this happens in accounting firms
Every January and every year end, someone rebuilds the same list of accounts, CT600s, confirmation statements and Self Assessment returns. It is slow, it relies on remembering every client, and one forgotten row becomes a late filing.
It is rarely a people problem. It is usually a process that grew up informally while the firm was small and never moved into a shared system.
