Follow-Up Tasks for Leads
Turn every next step into a task so no enquiry is left waiting.
Built for UK accountants, bookkeepers and growing accountancy practices.
How it works
Lead follow-up for accounting firms fails when the next step lives in someone's head. In Remindoo every next step can be a task on the lead. From the Tasks tab, click Create New Task, choose the assignee, then add a name, deadline, status (for example Not started) and priority (for example Medium). The rich-text description holds the detail. In the example the task is "Call Sarah to discuss quote and onboarding", with a note to confirm accounts, CT600, VAT and payroll, agree a monthly fee and send the engagement letter. A toggle asks "Is this task billable?". Leave it off for sales activity, or turn it on if your practice records that time as billable. The new task appears on the lead profile with its status badge and due date, and a Task Created entry is added to the lead timeline. Managers can check that every warm prospect has a dated next action. When follow-ups are tasks with deadlines, enquiries stop waiting days for a call back. That matters most when prospects are comparing several firms ahead of a Companies House or HMRC filing deadline.
Create a follow-up task from the lead
From the lead's Tasks tab, click Create New Task, choose the assignee, set a name, deadline, status and priority, and add a description. You can also mark the task as billable. The task appears on the lead profile and in the lead timeline.
What you can see
- Create a Task: "You can create a task here to better manage this lead."
- "Is this task billable?" toggle.
- Assignees selector.
- Name and Deadline (both required), Status (Not started), Priority (Medium).
- Description editor, plus Cancel and Create Task buttons.
Why it matters: A named owner and a deadline turn intentions into tracked commitments.

Why tracking leads and proposals matters
Every enquiry a practice fails to follow up is lost fee income. A clear pipeline shows which prospects need a reply, a proposal or a follow-up.
Faster replies
Prospects often contact more than one firm, so the firm that replies first and clearly has an advantage.
Consistent proposals
Templates and a services catalogue keep scope and pricing consistent whoever writes the proposal.
Signed terms from day one
E-signed engagement letters confirm scope and responsibilities before work begins.
No re-keying
Converting a won lead into a client keeps the details you already collected.
Practical tips from UK practice
- Reply to every new enquiry within one working day.
- Use lead statuses that match your real sales stages, and review them weekly.
- Send the engagement letter with the proposal so the client signs once.
- Record why lost leads were lost, to improve pricing and messaging.
