Client Custom Fields
Set compulsory fields, clients-table visibility, client types and text, date or dropdown fields for client information and contacts.
Built for UK accountants, bookkeepers and growing accountancy practices.
How it works
Every practice records client data slightly differently. Remindoo's Client Custom Fields let you shape the client record to match, across three tabs: Basic Information, Internal Information and Contacts.
For each field you set a name, whether it is Compulsory, whether it is Visible in Clients Table, which Client Type it applies to, the Field Type (such as Text, Date or Dropdown) and its options. Examples shown include Company Name, Company Number, Address, City/Town, Postal Code, Incorporation Date, Registered In Country and LOE Signed Date.
Getting this right has practical benefits. Compulsory fields stop incomplete records being created, which supports AML and client due diligence by making sure key details, such as the date the letter of engagement was signed, are captured. Date fields can feed the trigger dates used by service templates, so deadlines are calculated from the data on file. Choosing which fields appear in the clients table keeps the main view clean for staff while holding fuller detail on each record.
A search box and an add button make it easy to manage a long field list, and pagination shows how many fields are configured.
Shape the client record
For Basic Information, Internal Information and Contacts, set each field's compulsory flag, visibility in the clients table, client type and field type (text, date, dropdown).
What you can see
- Tabs: Basic Information, Internal Information, Contacts
- Columns: Name, Compulsory, Visible in Clients Table, Client Type, Field Type, Options
- Fields such as Company Name, Company Number, Incorporation Date and LOE Signed Date
- Field types Text and Date from a dropdown
- Search for Custom Field, add (+) and delete buttons
- Page indicator with total field count
Why it matters: You decide which client details are required and visible, so records are complete and easy to scan.

Why a single client record matters
When client details, deadlines, documents and conversations are spread across inboxes and spreadsheets, time goes on searching instead of on client work.
One version of the truth
Everyone sees the same services, contacts, deadlines and notes for each client.
Accurate deadlines
Companies House sync brings in company details and filing dates, reducing manual errors.
Better client service
A full timeline means anyone can answer a client question with the history in front of them.
Secure document sharing
A client portal is safer than sending financial documents as email attachments.
Practical tips from UK practice
- Import companies from Companies House rather than typing details by hand.
- Record every service a client takes, so recurring work is created automatically.
- Add a short note after every important client call.
- Ask clients to upload documents through the portal rather than by email.
