Tax, HMRC & agent access
In short: The HMRC account agents use for newer services such as MTD, trust registration and CIS.
Each practice should have one Agent Services Account, with an agent reference number, used for MTD for VAT, MTD for Income Tax, the Trust Registration Service and other newer services.
Older services still run through the HMRC online services for agents account. Authorisations from the old account can be linked to the ASA, which is why some clients appear and others do not.
Most 'client not showing' problems come from the split between the old agent account and the ASA, not from a lost authorisation.
